As a child growing up in a small village in W York,s, i walked to school passing three wooden mills ,a mill that produced fine worsted suiting and a mill that produced fine wool carpets and rugs. My village was just one small area of a massive wool production area, across the border in Lancashire where we visited relatives,was the same as Yorkshire a thriving cotton milling area. Back then there was no unemployment , everyone walked into a job on leaving school,all within close proximity to their home or a short bus ride away. Loads of work,guaranteed overtime. Our clothes were all produced in this country and were of the finest quality materials. We have let it all go Some would call it progress,some would tell me I am living in the past,but I feel it is within our power to make our country great again. We have all we need here from great food to great possibilities and should stand on our own two feet. To be fair, we didn’t necessarily ‘let’ it all go. A great deal has been taken off us by the EU with underhand stealth tactics over many years. So sad…Great news well done. This is just the start of making our country great again. More good things to come for UK I reckon. Might be a little more expensive but the quality superior and would be supporting growth of British Industry. Fantastic we just need a lot more industries being revived in Great Britain. I see a lot of comments wishing the Co good luck etc. This is old news by about 4yrs, I have followed their progress since they took over Tower Mill, it’s been a wonderful journey. I can recommend people visit their website and look at their historical blogs. Also check out their on-line shop, I bought some beautiful bedding from them, not cheap but well worth it, pure luxury.
